The poll results are in… and comfort is king!

The results of our recent poll, ‘What’s the most important aspect for a chair for the Hospitality Industry?’, have come in – with a clear winner. 45% of responses stated that comfort was the most important aspect of hospitality furniture. This was closely followed by durability, coming in at 36%, with customisation (10%) and design (9%), trailing far behind.

The results may not be too surprising, after all customer experience tends to be the top priority for the hospitality industry. And it is natural that companies would want the best investment possible, so a keen interest in durability is a given. Though this poll may seem to show that the hospitality industry is relatively disinterested in customisation and design, it is important to remember that respondents could only pick a single option. And the popularity of UHS’ new customisation tool (currently being rolled out across our website) shows that personalised designs are still an important consideration. Though comfort may reign supreme, it is clear that the hospitality industry does want the best of all four categories. Thankfully, UHS is in a position to offer this. Not only do we operate the RIGA durability tests, but we offer significant customisation options on almost all of our cutting edge designs. So if you need a comfortable, durable, customisable chair, don’t hesitate to get into contact with us here at UHS. For more information on RIGA testing click here.
